Here's a look at the joint milling with no glue. Good space for glue when floating. Some manufactures say you can float and then leave no room for the glue. Been there done that.

I was pleasantly suprised at the ease of fitting the planks. And these are long plank @ 74 3/4 inches long by 7 and 1/2 inches in width.
I could fit the planks without tapping although I do just to make sure I'm all the way in. This also has a micro bevel. Oh yeah I ran a full heavy 1/8 bead of adhesive and had no hydrolic's what so ever.

I am also pleased with the consistancy of the stain. There is little variation as I went through fifteen boxes for this side of the house.

And finally for now a pic of the bathroom I talked them into doing. I also did the kitchen in this area but the pic is really crappy so maybe next week for more pics.
Don't know why I talked them into doing the bathroom. I kicked myself thinking about resetting the potty, scary scary scary. Eeker
They wanted new tile in here so I thought putting the wood in would be easier than hauling all the tile tools there as well as the wood tools.

Love that color.

Ah...I knew I could count on ya Juan. Well as you can see there is goo squishing out of the T&G in Pic #3. I think it is sufficient. How bout them other inspectors, what you think?

OK the water....I used some bowed planks in there and the rather larger pantry. I used the bottles and other stuff to weight the planks down, obviously.

Why did I do that?

Alright you probably know. This is the method I use to get the bowed planks to lay flat. As the adhesive drys the weight forces the planks to dry flat and it worked. Next day no bouncey bouncey.

I'd have to give this bamboo product 2 thumbs up!! Even though it's one of them...whatcha call it.....unbalanced product. And don't forget ita a long plank too.

Nice and stable
Goes together with little effort
Good fit
Nice milling
Great color
No bannana boards so far at all...zero.

More pics as promised.

The other hallway. Just think how tacky this would look with a transition in that doorway.

The living room I did last week all put back together.

I like area rugs but this is a little large and covers up too much floor IMO.

Anyway...fun job but my hands hurt really bad from squeezing bottles for ten days. I need a click together now.

Dang Stephen, it actually looks like you know what your doing, Smiler

You did warn her about rugs and fading. Especially with bamboo. Aw, I know you did, who I'm I kidding.

Looks good, dude. We expect nothing less from you.

P.S. How does she like the contrasting transitions??
