Sounds logical to me. So instead of the 1/4 x 3/16 x 1/2 V notch I should use a 1/4 x 1/4 x 3/16 square notched. There were a couple hollow spots but I blame it on the solid wood and lack of green grab from the adhesive. I mean....there ain't no way anyone is going to trowel this adhesive perfect with trowel teeth always touching the concrete it is so stiff. I know I was using more than my metering device should.

They claim it to be installer friendly with advantages over urethanes. Is it possible you got a bad batch or might it have been old? Why such a large discrepency between what they say and what you got? I use TKO and to date I haven't used a better, more installer friendly adhesive. At under $25 a gallon it's pocket book friendly too. Seal it & Forget it! Don't Buy Crapet Wayner

Damn good questions. But the one I bought had the same consistancy as the ones already on the job.....stiff. They say...it spreads easily on top of the inhibitor coat. Maybe I should kept it outside and not acclimated it.
