Spending money? You guys are funny.

Just come to the Annual Meetings and obtain the information for the Annual Meeting.
Ask Tom Hammond how the money was spent the previous two years. That is where you hear and obtain the annual reports.
There has never been a member from Memphis.

I think there were some filing to be done that John Wabeke took care of this year. Marty and John looked into all that to make sure everything was proper.

Call and ask John Wabeke if all the anal papers are filed and the job done properly.

Thank you for asking. The paid number attending Convention is now at 43. The goal is 100

Tom Hammond was there too... Why not just ask him as he was Treasurer for two years and knows what is going on?

Forty three coming to a convention? Out of how many members? Out of how many inspectors nation wide?

That sounds like a carpet installer seminar number. You could get more crapet installers to go to a seminar if you supply hot dogs.

It's still early. Most sign up during the last 3 to 4 weeks prior to the October Convention.
43 is huge considering it's still August. If it were October 1st, I'd be worried.

I sent an email to Mr. Stoner about a mill tour. Is his email incorrect?

Not rude at all. I don't know how many current members the Association has today. Since I don't care how many there are, I'll leave the counting to somebody who does care.

I'm Thinking of going this year, I want to meet lots of inspectors that might be interested in working for my brokerage, if I decide to start one. I of course would only want the best.

Then you should attend and join the NICFI. You should be involved in your industry if you are an inspector. Industry involement is important. If you are an engineer, join an Engineer Association, ect. Be involved.
If you are not an inspector; you should not be involved.
Individuals who take their Industry on a serious note and understand the benefits of participating in their chosen profession;;;;;;;;; They join the Associations affiliated to that Industry. Those who do not take a profession seriously talk, threaten, degrade, slander and generally make ass's out of themselves fighting their own Industry and Industry Associations.
The inspection industry is changing dramatically and the only way to stay in tune to the changes is be involved. Sitting at home and doing everything the same as you always have is not keeping up with the changes.

The best part of the Convention is visiting and swapping stories (bigger fish type) with other inspectors. I learn more from the others than I do from the speakers at times.

But,
it started last year,

inspectors not interested any longer in your play group, and their number is now, 67 and growing each month by one and two and three or four.

They are being quiet because they know how you guys will spread lies and rumors about them at the mills in October, but, the time is growing short, and, they, are almost ready to step out into the public, and when they do, with their program they are working on and setting up the association / foundation before the first public convention, this will be interesting to watch,,,heck, I might even join it! Smiler

they even applied for, and got, a govt. grant and as such, will be recognized by the U.S. Govt. as an educational and member association managed by a separate foundation funded by, well, never mind, but, that is where your future "recognized certs" will come from, not any of the current ones,,,,sorry dudes, enjoy the one or two conventions you have left.

on their technical board of advisors, for example, they have contracted 8 PhD(s) to advise them, and help them, and educate them,,,,that is, "damned impressive",,,,how many such advisors does NIFIC have? oh well,

You again continue to bad mouth and degrade Industry Associations you do not belong to or not allowed to join.

You continue to harm yourself. You may think you are being a hero, but the information you have is untrue.

These posts are being copy/pasted and sent to all Industry Association Presidents and Leaders by members of these Associations. If you have not figured out why you are ignored in some places then you deserve your fate.
You are doing it to yourself so don't blame others for your lack of progress.
Why do you continue to shoot yourself in the foot? Makes no sense.

what you do not understand is, I welcome it.

so, you have heard about them, and you are worried they might really go forward with their plans.....I am sure they will be happy to read that,

now, go easy on yourself, and go have some fun.

competition brings out the best in some people, and in others, the worse....

I am not arguing, you guys are, I just told you facts about things that are happening, and, you get upset. Relax, instead of threats, why don't you get "physched" up, and work harder?

You just want them to be rumors, but we both know, they are not.

You just do not want anything to upset your little secure world,,,,but, every thing changes, and in this new bright time of change and reform, "good ole boys and girls clubs" are going to be under attack,,,,

but don't worry, I am sure you will adapt and survive.
