Seems, some of the carpet cleaners are mad, and fed up.

There is a select group of cleaners or "insiders" who collect money, lots of it, from a management company...

seems this company, also gets money from the cleaning association to manage it, but, the association has personal who are employees who manage it very well, thank you.

so, the management company, reportedly, gets 45% of all the money collected, up to 2 mil, and disperses it around to the select few,,,,in other words, they are getting paid for their voluntary work, well, suppose to be, voluntary work,

now, some are mad, some are wanting to know, how and why all the "members associations" that "own it", why the members pay directly into it, and for what, and, why is a non profit or not for profit owned by the small member associations?

lawyers have been called, the govt. contacted, and it may be under investigation by several govt. agencies.

well, took them long enough,

I will enjoy watching the show,,,,the members money, has for years, paid a select few huge amounts each year,
now, you guys know, why those "select few" are so protective of the organization of born losers.

you are again attacking an Association you do not belong to.
You are coming to conclusions you know nothing about.
You are listening to rumors and stating them as facts.

Please stop bashing our Industry Associations.

Concerning the 45%, I have seen the documentation personally,
not a rumor,

did you know, by law, non profit or not for profit, anyway you say it, have to honor financial request from members, and, non members?

anyway, whatever happens, should be interesting to watch and see what happens,,,,since this is going public soon, except on their "controlled boards" and in their "controlled publications",,,

two years ago, did you know, they reported they had "investigated themselves" and found the select few had done nothing wrong when one of their members question them about all this?
now, that, was published, Mr. Mike and I had a good laugh about it,

there seems to be an attitude in this biz, that if something is wrong, don't talk about it, or publish it, just stick the ole head in the sand, and let it continue.

if something is wrong, don't try to change it making it better, just keep quiet,,,,seems like, real men and women, of good moral character, would want to stand up, and get rid of the bad ones...oh well,,,

now, to answer your statement about me not being a member, true, but, also, this association directly affects the flooring industry,,, and by that line of reasoning, that we do not become involved in "things" or "associations" outside our sphere (of activity), the U.S. should not be involved in any type of foreign affairs? correct? but, wait, you will say, what happens over there does affect us? and as such, we have to take an interest?

oh well, lets see if the guys have the balls to do what they told me on the phone they have started with the lawyers,

It is not your business, nor is it your place to put this information on a message board.
Some information is best kept to yourself and this is one of them.
There is more than one association and more than one service with problems, but this is not the place to display that information.

You should always remember that, by your Lord's example, as a guide to how you should address the ills of this world,,,he did not hide or pretend they did not exist, he spoke out to truth, again, as you should do. This is the highest moral advise, counsel from your Lord by example, and, you speak to hide and not become involved in truth seeking....I know, I know, you can do and will do better than that.

There are too many sending your posts to EVERY Industry Association including Associations not affiliated with this one.

Change happens from Moral Honorable Individuals from within an organization, not bystanders throwing rocks from outside the building.

Funny thing about rock throwers... they are the ones who always lose.

But who are the rock throwers? Someone grumbling and grouching on an obscure web forum, or those e-mailing those posts to everyone that might not see them other wise? Your right rock thowers always lose, but rarely recognize themselves.

There are many readers and few posters.

Readers include Association Officers and Leaders. They tend to visit among themselves and share what they read.

I know that one Association President, and his elves, are sending the posts about the Associations to EVERYBODY !!

I wish Grumpy would delete these posts and find a new bad habit.

guys, I get these calls from the mills sometimes, some "inspector" or some "official from XXX association" called saying things about me,,,,and, then, as one manager laughingly told me, they send me more work as a reward! Ray, do you think they like people who call trying to tell them how to do their jobs or who to use and not use? The old tricks used years ago at the conventions in Dalton are no longer tolerated by management after they paid out millions in unjustified claims.
