some of you know me, and that, a few years ago, my older brother dropped dead.

The lady who manages the cemetery called my Mom asking if I had thought about buying, ahead of time, a headstone.

I said, no, I am not buying a headstone now. At first, I was confused as to why she was calling. I am not seriously sick with anything. Then, tonight, I thought, I am getting close to the age when my brother dropped dead!

That bitch is hoping I will drop dead! so she can make a few bucks!

It is just like pre-paying for a funeral or stocking up on rebond before the next price increase. She is offering you a hedge against inflation.

You got to be awfully egotistical to buy a monument to yourself. Once you're dead you don't need anything. If someone wants to remember you after you're gone with a hunk of granite, let them buy it.
