There is a communication gap between flooring consumers and flooring installation professionals that I think a forum may help address. Here is some small print to set the intent of this forum up correctly:
There is no registration required to make a post in this forum. ANYONE CAN POST HERE. SPAM Related messages will be deleted as soon as they are seen. Obviously installation professionals are independent and may or may not respond to consumer questions. Further any reliance on those responses is at the discretion of the users and this site makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy of answers. Any brand related comments that are not true and based on will be deleted without notice. Any posts here are subject to deletion without notice especially abusive or otherwise improper messages. |

This should be interesting. I promise to be nice.
My very first online posts I think...were over at Dave Spreen's place helping people with problems. I remember Evan Lauradsen (sp), current Bruce Tech God being there and bantering with him. As were many other well know industry pro's. I guess I may help out some. Who knows I may pick up a job or two. |

I am not sure what you mean by jargon, but I can say that inconsistent answers are common:
welcome to steve's stages of floor shopping stage 3. http://www.ifloor.com/articles/gen/steves.stages.html p.s. - much of the variance in answers is based on different experiences and opinions. Not always based on fact or unbiased information/data. |

Yes, I frequent cleaner sites and have even had the pleasure to speak with the publisher of ICS magazine a couple times. Most of them look down on installers. And OMG do they fight like dogs over there. I also recieve the ICS magazine every month. Heck, I dont even have to subscribe to it like the FCI magazine every year it just comes.
Another one is Cleanfax. You scared me for a minute, I thought you may be that Christopher Capobianco guy - IICRC's hatchet man. |
